You Can Learn Self-Confidence
Last month I met up with a long-lost friend whom I haven’t seen for 18 years. He talked and I listened, then I talked and he listened. You know how it is! Then he confided in me on how he was worried about his 17 year old son.
He believed that his son was very confident in his studies and sport, yet lacked self-confidence when it came to social situations.
I rehashed a part of step 1 of my book, Self-Confidence Building in 7 Steps, to him. I informed him that even the most talented people in the world had to build their self-confidence in certain areas of their lives where they lacked that confidence. Self-confidence is not necessarily present in all areas of our lives.
One person may be confident in studies but not in sports. Or perhaps another individual may possess overwhelming self-confidence in his relationships but be nervous when networking in small groups.
Self-confidence can be learned and built upon by increasing your knowledge and skill in the areas where it is lacking.
