What Do You Want Your Future To Look Like?
From a tender young age we were taught that copying is wrong, inappropriate, and dishonest. However, we were never taught one important game of life; that copying or imitating someone who has become successful is an advantageous and beneficial behaviour.
After all, as children, did we not learn by trying to be like our parents? And as we grew older, didn’t we follow in the footsteps of those we admired? As adults did we not pretend to be the person we respected the most?
Who is your ideal businessperson, entrepreneur, presenter, actor, author, sportsperson, artist, chef?
Do you think you can find behaviours in that person that are pertinent to your desires? Then can you, on a daily basis, practise being that person?
Research what that person has done to become successful and go ahead and reproduce what that person has done.
Do your research and start impersonating.
It is a simple and highly effective approach to design what you want your future to look like.
If you were to replicate a person you admire, who would that person be?
