Review Your Performance

“My father used to lecture me, ‘Always do more that you are paid for, and what ever job you are in learn as much as you can and climb the management ladder,’” a client reminisced to me.

“At the time, I did not agree with him,” he continued. “I only did as much as I had to just to keep my job, in the hope that someday I will find a job that I liked.”

This client did not search for that job that he might like and a short while later he was made redundant.

I believe that whatever job you are in you have a couple of choices: either you do your best or you look for a job elsewhere that excites you.

It does not matter what job you are in you owe it to yourself to exercise your knowledge and skills to go to the next level.

Invest more in yourself and put your heart and soul into everything that you do in your current job.

If you are not happy with your present job, are you willing to review your performance, to either start afresh or to look for a new destination?
