Your Unconscious Mind in Action

“Here’s a very simple explanation of how the unconscious mind works,” I explained to a young client.

“Establish three goals you want to achieve this year and jot them down in a notebook. Then write down when you will achieve these goals by putting next to each goal the date you want to accomplish each one of them.

“These written goals,” I continued, “will already make a strong impression on your unconscious mind. The simple act of writing your goals down starts the engines of your unconscious mind.

“For each goal, list some actions that you will take…”

“How many actions should I have for each goal?” asked the client as she enthusiastically leant forward.

“As many as you can come up with,” I replied. “Do not stress yourself over this list. As time goes by, you will come up with more actions to take. It is not necessary to burden yourself too much with the How.”

“The next step is to close your eyes and daydream. Review these three goals and action steps every day, then go about your usual day. Soon enough you will feel an urge to take those first steps towards your goals. This is because your unconscious power is pushing you, urging you to act. Urging you make those goals come true to you.”

“That sounds very simple. Does it work?” she inquisitively asked.

“Try it earnestly for a couple of weeks and see for yourself.”
