Increase Your Work Value

Far too many people in this world either hate or are unhappy with their jobs or current positions they hold.

A percentage of that, for whatever reason, may not be in a position to go off and start their own business, so they remain on someone else’s payroll.

The goal such people will then have is to find a way to achieve pleasure from their current job and, whilst at it, they might as well attempt to earn a healthy income doing it.

One way to attain some form of enjoyment and satisfaction is through increasing their self-worth and value to the company.

As I explained to one client, “When you get employed by a particular company, your job becomes an opportunity for you to contribute your value to that company. Deliver and continue to provide added value to that company that goes beyond what it costs to keep you on the payroll.”

For you to earn more at your present job, or to earn a promotion within the same company, you will have to increase your value; enhance and add to what you already contribute to the company.

Improve on any skills you have, build on your present knowledge and spread your experience in relevant areas. All these, and more, fuel your contribution, your value, to the company and to yourself.

Look around you at your current job and find ways to create added value every day. There is always something more you can do.
