The Four Main Qualities for a Happy Life
My blog on 25th April entitled ‘Britons, Are You Happy?’ inspired me to ask 30 of my clients at random what 4 areas in their lives they believe are crucial for a happy and joyful life.
The answers that came were no surprise to me, and how some clients struggled to list the 4 most essential ingredients to their happiness, and to the quality of their lives, also did not amaze me. Many people tend to live day-by-day without any sense of direction or responsibility to make their lives more worthy.
The top four qualities for a happy life are as follows:
The first and foremost ingredient was unanimously agreed, and that was to have all round great, happy and understanding relationships; be it at home, at work, at the gym, at social events, even with life as a whole.
The second most valuable factor revolved around enjoying and making a good living from their profession. Many would leave their present jobs and start their own business if money wasn’t an issue.
In third place, to have total financial freedom to do whatever they wanted and whenever they wanted. Happiness is to have financial and time freedom, to retire young and to maintain a luxurious lifestyle.
Lastly, the one many forgot, was to lead a healthy life, both mentally and physically; to be free from pain and illness. When I prodded for a fourth ingredient most of the 30 clients silently sat back and finally remembered that their health and well-being is a huge factor to happiness and joy that should not be taken for granted.
If you were to spend the next 15 minutes to think about what four issues make you happy and increase the quality of your life, what would they be?
