The Attitude of Patience

“Adopt the pace of nature, her secret is patience.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

Many feel that success cannot come fast enough for them; they want it now. When it takes what they consider to be too long, they get anxious and frustrated.

In the end they quit.

“I started off by using all the products and techniques I had and knew. Things like affirmations, visualisation, hypnosis, subliminal CDs and the like, all with the aim of reaching my business goal of generating at least £5,000 worth in commissions every month,” said a client, feeling proud of himself.

“The only trouble is, after a few days I started getting massive headaches,” he went on. “In the end I stopped doing anything, and my goal died.”

“Why do you think you got those headaches?” I asked.

“I suppose I need to take it easy,” he replied. “My brain is telling me to slow down a bit.”

The unconscious mind is by far more responsive when you use the one product that you believe will help you with your current primary goal. By using too many products at the same time you are liable to overwhelm your unconscious mind.

Are you practicing the art of self-development patience?
