Keep an Ideas Journal
When I was writing a confidence e-book with co-author, Hani Al-Qasem, we both carried with us an ideas journal. We recorded all our inspirations, all our notions and our theories, irrespective of whether they are good or relevant or just passing thoughts. They got written down.
Throughout the day countless ideas came and went, and we did not discard any. As the e-book progressed, some momentary thoughts and ideas became very relevant. Had we not recorded those ideas we would not have had them when we needed them.
When you are after a goal, it is best that you carry with you a pen and pad or pocket-sized notebook, to jot down those ideas that pop up out of nowhere. Or perhaps you can use a digital recorder or the voice recorder on your mobile phone, whichever is more convenient.
Whatever your objective or goal is, make sure you have a method of recording your ideas. Commit your ideas and thoughts onto paper or another recording medium.
Many successes have come from such transitory ideas. Your success in your objective could be as a result of one of those ideas. So it is vitally important that you jot down all those momentary thoughts and ideas.
Have you ever come up with a great idea and you kick yourself for not recording it somewhere?
