Time for a promotion - are you seen as the ‘Gordon Brown’ of your company?
On LBC this morning (Mon 25 Sep 06), Carol Thatcher (filling in for Nick Ferrari) and Alan Duncan (Tory MP) discussed the possibility of Gordon Brown replacing Tony Blair as leader of the Labour Party.
The public phoned in and expressed their views, which were not very encouraging.
Gordon Brown has left a rather negative impression on a lot of people. and now he’s not the favourite to lead.
Executives can suffer the same consequences of their actions in the business world.
The ease of moving into new and greater roles can be thwarted by how you are interacting now with your peers and teams.
Create the best possible relationships and leave the most positive impression now, as you’re climbing that ladder of success, and your transition to greater roles will be easier to manage.
